How many hours can you leave asphalt material
The amount of time an asphalt mixture is left in place is affected by a number of factors, including temperature, humidity, oxygen concentration, and mixture composition. Generally, it is recommended that asphalt mixtures be used within 3 hours to ensure optimum performance. If it takes longer than 24 hours, the effectiveness of the mix may be compromised. For ordinary asphalt mixtures, the storage time should not exceed 72 hours. For modified asphalt mixtures, the storage time should not exceed 24 hours, and it is recommended that they be used on the same day only.
